30 Tracks, 68 minutes, recommended. 30 more rockin’ gal records on this wonderful CD collection. This isn’t padded out with pop tunes either. Just about every tune is either a boppin’ hillbilly or a rocker. That’s not to say that they’re all great because more than a few are flawed by a lackluster band, off key singing or something. There are plenty of classics though like Joyce Green’s wailin’ Black Cadillac , Sherree Scott’s Fascinating Baby , Stormy Gayle’s Flipsville , etc. These gals were pretty wild for their time as you’ll find out on crazy rockers like Oneda Harding’s Bald Headed Twister , Bolean Barry’s Long Sideburns , Mari Jones’ Riba Daba Doo and one of the nuttiest tunes ever cut, A Fish House Function by Emmy Oro & Her Rhythm Escorts.
