Methow Valley Bike Festival

Drove over Washington Pass on Thursday after work – there was snow beside the road at the pass. Took a rough dirt logging road to get to Wolf Ridge Resort – and had to back-track to find the place. Got up in the morning and rode to the end of the pavement on the Chewuch River road – 50 miles. Found out that there was a bike festival in town. Went to the Barn and signed up. Drove to Carlton looking for a mythical Carleton to Winthrop road. Ate at Arrowleaf. Had pancakes with the nordic ski team members who were preparing for their SATs. Rode the 70 mile loop out Chewuch, East County to Twisp, main highway to Carlton, back on the the cutoff, twin lakes road to the Sun Mountain drive, up the mountain and back down, then on up twin lakes to Winthrop. Ate at Twisp River pub afterwards. Rode from Wolf Ridge to Duck Brand for breakfast and then back. Packed up and drove over Washington pass in the rain.
