Liz Durrett has expanded her sonic fixtures from spare to more effervescent with her new LP, Outside Our Gates. The new LP was recorded in Athens, GA in the Spring of 2008 and produced by Eric Bachmann, with release set for September 9th, 2008. Outside Our Gates incorporates everything from tiny nylon-string guitars, backwards electric feedback loops, pizzicato violins, cellos, upright bass, wurlitzers, accordions, grand space pianos and marching drums, and includes guests such as Vic Chesnutt, Brian Causey (Man or Astro-man?), Amanda Kapousouz (Tin Cup Phrophette) and members of Ham1.
