————From the dutch label Collector Records, an all-girl vintage rockabilly insanity.
With a whole heapin’ helping of 30 (yes, count ’em) gal rockers don’t expect much of a blow by blow account from me. Let’s just say that this collection is a great value for the money, even if some of these have been out on the various "gal comps." You get a selection that runs from boppin’ hillbilly – Doris Hubbard – Move Over Tall Woman and Betty Jo – Eskimo Boogie , through out’n’out rockers like Tonya Dee and the Dischords – Shake This Town , Connie and the Cytations – Boogie Rock and Sandy Lee – Ballin’ Keen , with a few instrumentals thrown in for good measure like Squeeze Box Rock by the Browning Sisters. Lots of great rockin’ guitars and wailin’ sax too.
